Long-term program (Student visa/More than one year)
Application qualifications
- Persons who finished a regular undergraduate education, or 12 years of study (might depend on the country of origin) or similar school education.
- Persons who completed secondary education (high school) in his/her country who is qualified to pursue higher learning, such as undergraduate studies.
(Persons who graduated from high school or equivalent)
(If the person hopes to enter an academy of higher grade in Japan, such as undergraduate school, he/she has to finish 12 years of primary and secondary school education) - Persons who can submit a certificate of studying the Japanese language for more than 150 hours or persons who completed higher than the fifth grade in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
- Persons who have a sponsor in Japan or in his/her country, who can bear all necessary expenses during his/her stay in Japan.
