Foreign students need to acquire status of residence and student visa to study at Japanese language school for long-term period.
Student visa
- Student can learn up to 2 years in Japanese language school.
- Student visa holders are allowed to have a part-time job (up to 28 hours a week).
- Since you come to Japan to study the Japanese language, you should attend classes daily and your attendance rate must be at least 80%.
- If you get more than one year student visa then you have to apply for the National Health Insurance so that only 30% of the medical cost will be charged when you get medical treatment.
